The best thing in life is...

Good days after bad days and bad ones after good,
Smiles after tears and tears after smiles..
A bed of of roses,a path strewn with thorns
The best thing in life is, it goes on.

Waves of love tickling the feet,
sometimes the heart parched in the want of love..
A prolonged darkness, then the dawn..
The best thing in life is, it goes on.

The ecstasy, the gloom, the joy, the grief
The closeness, the distance, the heartbreak, the love
Momentary experience, and then its gone.
The best thing in life is, it goes on.

Zenith of success, nadir of fate,
Colors of spring follow the empty autumn
A blissful within, a spirit that is torn..
The best thing in life is, it goes on.

Dark or bright, dull or gay,
A night is always followed by a day.
Fast or slow, or an apparent stop, hold on,
because, the best thing in life is, it always goes on.

Waking up, now that September has ended...

It all starts with "new year, new beginning" feeling.
Read atleast 50 books. Quit smoking. Reduce weight by atleast 5 kg. Get the promotion.
Crack CAT. No fights with mom and dad. Learn guitar.
January is the month of resolutions.
February is the month of gearing up. Some items from the list of resolutions fail to pass the January tunnel, unable to see the February sun. For the rest, its time for action. Research on to make a list of books to be read. Find out the best gym in the city. Start staying late to impress the boss. CAT dies a silent death in January may be. Guitar, yet to be decided.
March, action full on.
April.
May.
June.
July. Half of the year is gone. 7 and a half books completed. Not able to go to gym regularly. Boss pissed off  so gave up the idea of promotion already.
August. No more books. Quit gym.
September. Do not remember the resolutions.
October. Waking up, now that September has ended. Start working again. Still have 3 months to go..but... too less to achieve the goals set for one whole year.
November. December. struggle.
January. Let bygones be bygones. "New year, new beginning".

Lack of will power. No determination. No commitment. Is it all that this cycle of events depicts?
Do you see the spirit of "rising up again after falling"? Do you see hope?
Waking up after September is light.
